Station 2

Location: 300 West Hartsdale Ave. Hartsdale, NY 10530

Station 2 serves as the headquarters of the Hartsdale Fire District and supports operations across the northern portion of the district. The station was constructed in 1963 as the Hartsdale community expanded and the demand for fire protection increased. The addition of this second station allowed the department to improve response times and better protect the growing residential and commercial areas of the district.

Today, Station 2 functions as the administrative and operational hub of the department. The facility houses apparatus, firefighters, and administrative offices, and it serves as the location for many department meetings and activities, including the annual Babysitters course . The station supports the district’s mission of protecting approximately 4.5 square miles of the Town of Greenburgh through professional emergency response, fire prevention, and community outreach programs.

Together with Station 1, Station 2 plays a vital role in maintaining the safety of the Hartsdale community while continuing a tradition of service that began more than a century ago.
